On Thursday, legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood was honored during a luncheon in Las Vegas.

During the lunch, Eastwood, 84, took some time to reflect on the unbelievable success of his 2014 movie American Sniper.

“Everyone has opinions on it, but nobody’s really thought about it from the point of view of the families of the people over there and the people who go over there … and donate their time for a belief that some of us think is a great idea and some of us don’t think is a great idea,” he said, according to Fox News. “It opens a lot of questions that are fun to broach.”

Eastwood added that despite his age, he “ain’t stopping” anytime soon.

His comments came as a surprise to many who see American Sniper as a war film, but we appreciate the fact that it is dedicated to the families of American servicemen and women.
