Tim McGraw is planning to submit to a major Obama agenda in a despicable way.

According to Breitbart, the legendary country music star is set to headline a gun control fundraiser for Sandy Hook Promise this coming July. Despite the fact that many of his fans are proud gun lovers, McGraw is spitting in their faces by coming out as anti-gun.

Sandy Hook Promise has been described as a “vehicle through which various relatives of Sandy Hook victims have joined to push gun control until it passes.”

While the Sandy Hook massacre is undeniably tragic, it is also an isolated incident that liberals like Obama have shamelessly used to further their own political agendas. For McGraw to perform at this event is a blatant insult to gun lovers everywhere.

The backlash from country music fans was so swift that Billy Currington, a country singer who was supposed to headline the event along with McGraw, backed out of the event this week.

Cunningham explained his decision to pull out on Facebook:

I’ve never been one to take on controversial issues – I’m a singer. I do feel strongly about honoring and supporting the Sandy Hook community and will be making a donation to a local organization. I appreciate people’s freedom and passion for whatever cause they want to support, however, I am choosing to step aside from this fundraiser and will focus instead on the rest of the tour dates as I look forward to being on the road with Tim and Chase and having a blast with all of the fans.

We applaud Cunningham for taking a stand for the Second Amendment and pulling out of the event. We can only hope that McGraw listens to his fans and refuses to sing at this event as well.
