Lois Lerner, former head of the Exempt Organizations Unit of the Internal Revenue Service, has long been suspected of working with the Obama administration from 2009-2011 to go after conservative and tea party groups by delaying their requests for tax-exempt status.

Just as the investigation against her heated up, 30,000 of Lerner’s potentially damning emails inexplicably disappeared. IRS officials claimed that Lerner’s computer had crashed, and while the data could have been copied onto a disaster recovery tape, that tape could only hold six months of data. This meant that all of her emails were either deleted or overwritten.

However, in November of 2014, the IRS inspector general announced that Lerner’s emails had been found on archived tapes. Since then, authorities have been meticulously going through the emails, and they have found that Lerner was in fact abusing her position to do Obama’s bidding.

Evidence of this includes a 2012 email, in which Lerner asks for a special program to show IRS employees how to hide information from congress. In an email written the next year, she literally apologizes for not training her staff more to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.

When this investigation is concluded, it appears clear that Lerner will go to prison. Hopefully, she’ll take Obama down with her, and we’ll be rid of the president forever.
