A few weeks ago, we reported on Mia Roberson, the daughter of Jase Robertson who has received six surgeries to repair a cleft lip and palate. Though she made it through her most recent surgery, one in which her jaw was broken, we now need to pray for her swift recovery.

She recently underwent surgery once again, and her father has just taken to Facebook to reveal how she is doing.

“Good report on Mia today,” Jase wrote. “We are done with daily procedures of moving her jaw forward. She continues to be brave.”

“Few more weeks to go and then another surgery to remove her contraption,” he added.

This comes just weeks after Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson revealed that Mia would be getting a surgery “that will involve breaking her jaw.”

“We ask that you please start praying for her now and continue for 6-10 weeks after,” Phil wrote. “It’s a long recovery with a liquid diet.”

Phil added that Mia’s mother, Missy Robertson, is selling necklaces she made to benefit the Mia Moo Fund, which is meant to “pay for cleft palate related surgeries for children in need.”

“We ask that you wear it for her now and until after the surgery,” Phil requested.

Missy has admitted that Mia’s health problems have been difficult to deal with at times.

“There are times when it is very stressful,” Missy said. “There [are] different stages that the child has to go through.”

However, the mother added that it has been her family’s unwavering faith in God that has gotten them through.

“I have a few days where I’m kind of down about it,” Missy said. “But then because of our faith, because of the support of our family, and because of Mia’s optimistic attitude and resolve, we just kind of get through the first few days and it becomes a new normal.”

We’ll be praying for you, Mia!
