When this mother elephant’s baby fell into a mud pit, he seemed like a goner. However, his mother wasn’t about to let him go that easy.

The baby elephant fell into the mud pit in India at around 9 p.m., and his mother dug for 11 hours refusing to give up on her child. Finally, at 8 a.m. the next morning, the mother was able to pull her baby out of the pit.

Unfortunately, humans nearby could not get involved due to the risk of being attacked by an enraged mother elephant trying to protect her baby. Luckily, this elephant didn’t need the help of humans, and she was able to get her baby out herself.
