Jon Stewart is known for being a hardcore liberal who spent years spouting propaganda for Democrats on The Daily Show. However, Stewart has just taken a major risk career-wise to defy a major Obama agenda.

While Obama doesn’t give a hoot about our nation’s veterans, Stewart has quietly set up a program that is sure to improve the lives of American veterans and their families. Knowing that many veterans want to pursue careers in television, but have no idea where to start, Stewart has set up a program for them that is being described as an “industry bootcamp.”

The New York Times recently highlighted the story of Nathan Witmer, a veteran who was able to secure a position at Fox News with the help of Stewart’s program. He then became an associate field segment producer at The Daily Show.

Stewart told the Times that he hoped that more people in Hollywood would follow his lead and give back to the soldiers who risk their lives for us every day:

“There are well-worn channels into this industry that are closed off to veterans. You get into the television industry generally by going to certain colleges known for having good television programs, getting internships and getting to know people who work in the industry. A lot of veterans never had that opportunity because they were busy at war. This is a way to give them that chance.”

What do you think about Stewart’s program? Let us know in the comments section.
