When Janelle Jones pulled into a Burger King drive-through in Rochester, New Hampshire last Friday, she had no idea what was coming.

When she pulled up to the window to get her drink and sandwich, she was instead handed a bag full of $2,631 in cash. While many would have taken the money and ran, Janelle decided to go another route.

She called her husband, Matthew, who told her to come home so that they could return the money together.

“We are not perfect human beings,” the husband said, adding that they considered keeping the money but eventually decided to do the right thing. They returned the cash to the store, where they were told that the money was actually a deposit meant for the bank that accidentally ended up in Janelle’s order.

As a devout Jehovah’s witness, Janelle said she knew right away that she had to return the money because “Jehovah sees everything.”

What would you have done in her situation? Let us know in the comments section.
