When Tim Tebow’s mother Pam was pregnant with him, she went on a Christian mission trip to the Philippines with her husband. While there, she contracted a bad case of dysentery, and doctors told her to abort her baby.

Being a proud Christian woman, she refused.

Twenty-seven years later, her son Tim Tebow is a football star, and he’s never forgotten that he almost was never born. In an effort to give back, Tebow opened The Tebow CURE Hospital in the Philippines last week.

Built and operated by CURE International, the hospital focuses on treating children with orthopedic issues. One of the main donors for the hospital was The Tim Tebow Foundation.

The entire Tebow family attended the grand opening in Devau City this past week, and the hospital is already saving lives.

“We’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time,” saidDale Brantner, President & CEO of CURE International. “After many years of prayer and much hard work, I am thrilled to be able to say the Tebow CURE Hospital is officially open! In this place, we will share the love of Jesus and bring physical healing to children and families who desperately need it.”

The left has made a habit out of mocking Tebow for his Christian beliefs, but we’re glad to see that he has silenced them by doing something so selfless in the name of God.
