The small village of Geithoorn in the Netherlands is known for it’s gorgeous canals, abundant greenery, charming townsfolk, and beautiful homes. The canals are particularly important, as the village has no roads. Therefore, residents use the winding canals to travel around the area.

Watch as people travel the canals on boats and Gondolas, which are the main form of transportation in the village. There are bridges over the canals for pedestrians, and for villagers as well when the canals freeze over in the winter.

All the homes in Geithoorn have breathtaking waterfront views, and even benches to sit alongside the canal so that they can watch their neighbors pass by.

After watching this video, you’ll know why this town is known as one of the most romantic places in the world!
