The American Humanist Association recently filed a lawsuit against a public school district for including the phrase “under God” in their pledge of allegiance, which the children recited every day on school property.

The lawsuit states that including this phrase is breaking the law separating church and state, and that the pledge should therefore be banned from schools.

“The current pledge practice marginalizes atheist and humanist kids as something less than ideal patriots, merely because they don’t believe the nation is under God,” said a spokesman for the American Humanist Association.

The case recently went before a judge, and he has made his decision: the judge completely threw the case out, dismissing the lawsuit once and for all.

A similar lawsuit was filed in Massachusetts last year, and they received the same ruling. Quit trying to take down the pledge of allegiance, liberals, because it’s not going anywhere anytime soon!
