A Russian beauty queen has been stripped of her “Miss Charming” title after disturbing photos from her past surfaced.
According to Daily Mail, 21 year-old Olga Kuzkova of Moscow found herself in hot water after pictures were found on her social media showing her with Nazi paraphernalia. The images reportedly show her wearing a Nazi armband, and dressed as a maid standing in front of a blazing oven.
Another photo shows Kuzkova extending her hand in a Nazi salute as she stands in front of racist graffiti.
Kuzkova was originally asked by CSKA Moscow to represent their football club in the Russian Premier League’s annual beauty contest. Though she did not win the pageant, she did win the title of “Miss Charming,” but she later came under fire when fans of the club found the pictures.
“Olga, you are not Miss CSKA, you are a disgrace to CSKA,” fans said in a statement found online.
After the backlash, the CSKA league tried to defend Kuzkova.
“We do not tolerate manifestations of fascism, nationalism and racism,” said Sergei Cheban, the league’s executive director. “It is unfortunate that it happened. However, I beg to understand the situation and to the person. In my youth, we all make mistakes, sometimes going the wrong way. Who is not without sin? Some errors corrected easily, some more difficult. I would be happy if this story will help Ole deal with her outlook on life.”
