A man with a loaded gun was caught in a car parked outside an event in Los Angeles that Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak at this afternoon.

According to Daily Mail, the Los Angeles Police Department has detained the man after he tried to walk into an area that requires visitors to be checked by security. When officials looked inside of his car, they found a loaded gun under his passenger’s seat.

The incident occurred at Bobrick Washroom Equipment in North Hollywood, where Biden is scheduled to give a speech on minimum wage today.

The LAPD has not yet revealed the man’s identity or whether or not he was arrested, but Los Angeles police Sgt. Marlon Marrache told the press that the man “breached a zone” set up by police for Biden’s visit and that he was found to be in possession of a weapon.
