Last week, liberals everywhere rejoiced when the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. Just days later, gay rights activists are already coming after churches in a major way, and they clearly have revenge on their minds.

The New York Times has just published a disturbing article entitled “Now’s the Time To End Tax Exemptions for Religious Institution,” which argues that churches should now be considered “political” entities. According to Infowars, this would mean that would be able to revoke their tax exempt status, which would devastate the Christian church.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage makes it clearer than ever that the government shouldn’t be subsidizing religion and non-profits,” Mark Oppenheimer wrote at the start of the article.

“Rather than try to rescue tax-exempt status for organizations that dissent from settled public policy on matters of race or sexuality, we need to take a more radical step,” Oppenheimer went on to say. “It’s time to abolish, or greatly diminish, their tax-exempt statuses.”

This is exactly the type of slippery slope Christians have always feared would come with the legalization of gay marriage. Liberals were never going to be satisfied with gays simply being able to get married. Now, they want to take down the very church that has “oppressed” homosexuals for so long.

In the end, gay marriage was never the goal of liberals. Instead, their goal was to take down the Christian church. The legalization of gay marriage brought them one step closer to accomplishing this, but their battle is far from over.

Unfortunately for these liberals, us Christians will NOT be going down without a fight!
