The Obama administration has announced that they will be blocking the NFL team the Washington Redskins from building a new stadium.

According to Conservative Tribune, the team was hoping to demolish the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, located just two miles from the capital, and build a new one. However, this week Obama announced plans to block the request using the National Park Service, which owns the land the stadium is built on.

Obama is reportedly doing this in a pathetic attempt to force the Redskins to change their name.

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell, whose department includes the NPS, told the press that “the Obama administration would not work to accommodate construction of a new venue” unless the NFL team first changes their name.

“Personally, I think we would never consider naming a team the ‘Blackskins’ or the ‘Brownskins’ or the ‘Whiteskins,’” Jewell said last year. “So, personally, I find it surprising that in this day and age, the name is not different.”

Regional NPS director Robert A. Vogel agreed with Jewell, saying that his office “will (also) not take a position in support of” the new stadium.

It’s ridiculous that Obama and his minions still think they have the right to force this team to change their name, despite the fact that most Native Americans think they should remain the Redskins. With all the problems America is facing, including a tanking economy, you would think Obama has better things to do than worry about this…
