An unnamed Iraqi war veteran, who is also a Purple Heart recipient, returned to his car after a shopping trip last Thursday to find a note that read, “All of you Islamaphobe vets deserve to die.”

The veteran and New York resident laughed off the note, but other enraged citizens rallied around the young man, outraged that someone disrespected him in this way.

“To me, it’s an act of terrorism really,” said Navy veteran Robert LaPrairie, according to Conservative Tribune.

Lt. Steven Stockdale of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office told the press that his office is inspecting the note looking for any “potential criminality.”

“Communication these days has gotten very easy for people who want to stay anonymous,” he told reporters. “And it takes a lot more courage to strap on an 80-pound pack and go to the Middle East and fight for your country than it does to scribble on a note and leave it cowardly behind on somebody’s windshield.”

We’re disgusted that someone dared to disrespect a Purple Heart recipient in such a despicable way. Whoever did this should remember that karma is a you know what, and we pray that it comes back to bite them!
