Yesterday, we reported that Caitlyn Jenner would likely be facing vehicular manslaughter charges for the role she played in a car crash that killed 69 year-old Kim Howe back in February.

The maximum sentence for such a charge is one year in jail, a sentence which could prove devastating for the former Olympian.

According to TMZ, the 161-page Sheriff’s Dept. report concluded that Jenner violated the misdemeanor manslaughter law by driving at an unsafe speed, making her partially responsible for the accident. Investigator’s found that Jenner’s SUV slammed into Howe’s Lexus, which was stopped in traffic. The force of this crash sent the Lexus careening into oncoming traffic, killing Howe instantly.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is set to submit their report to the L.A. County D.A next Wednesday, at which time prosecutors will decide whether or not to file charges. Experts are torn as to whether charges will be filed, with many saying there’s a 50/50 chance either way.

We can only hope that the L.A. County D.A. does not submit to liberal pressure to let Jenner go free. Kim Howe deserves justice!
