For the past 24 hours or so, the media has been going crazy after Trump made comments about Megyn Kelly on CNN.

He said that Kelly unfairly grilled him about his history of insulting women. He said of Kelly, “there was blood coming out of her… wherever,” sparking outrage. Many people assumed he was implying that Kelly was being rude during the debate because she was on her period.

The comment has caused backlash. RedState’s Eric Erickson even banned Trump from his high-profile even in Georgia due to the remarks.

But Trump spoke out on Saturday morning, writing, “‘So many politically correct fools in our country. We have to all get back to work and stop wasting time and energy on nonsense!” In a later post, he clarified that his comment about Kelly bleeding wasn’t about her menstrual cycle — it was about her nose, he said.

Trump’s campaign additionally sent out a press release, stating that it was an “honor” to be disinvited from the RedState event, given how political correctness has taken it over.
