A news anchor for a Fox affiliate in Santa Barbara has found herself in hot water this week after she was arrested for DUI.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a call around 8 p.m. on Sunday evening that a car was driving southbound in northbound Highway 101 lanes. According to Breitbart, the driver was Paula Lopez Ochoa, 49, who is an anchor for KCOY-TV, a CBS/Fox affiliate.

Police tracked down Lopez Ochoa’s Toyota Prius and found that she had been driving at the Sandpiper Golf Course parking lot, and may have even collided with a pedestrian. When she was pulled over, Lopez Ochoa also allegedly assaulted law enforcement officials.

Lopez Ochoa is a mother of three who is married to retired Superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa. She has been open about her struggle with alcoholism in the past, and she was getting treatment after a public-intoxication arrest in July 2013 as well as a day-long disappearance earlier in the year.

Ironically, Lopez Ochoa can be seen in the video below reporting on an accident caused by a drunk driver. We hope this woman gets the help she needs!
