The second GOP debate happened last night, and hours later, the entire race has changed.
Earlier today, we reported that Donald Trump had been declared the undisputed winner of the debate. However, as the polls continue to come in, a different frontrunner has emerged.
According to The Political Insider, Google tracked searches of the GOP candidates during the three hour debate, and the results they came up with were shocking: Chris Christie was the true winner of the debate.
Google revealed that the top nine candidates were neck and neck during most of the debate, but Chris Christie surged to take the lead int he final moments. Carly Fiorina ended up in second place, and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump came in third.
This will come as bad news for Scott Walker and Mike Huckabee, who remained at the bottom for most of the debate.
Christie likely finished strongly because of the blunt words he had for Obama’s Iran deal.
“And I will tell you this, around the world, I will not shake hands with, I will not meet with, and I will not agree to anything with a country that says death to us and death to Israel and holds our hostages while we sign agreements with them,” Christie said.
