The first Democratic debate was last night, and though liberals are trying to make it look like it was just as successful as the record-breaking GOP debates, today’s reports are revealing that it wasn’t even close…

According to Daily Mail, the press room at the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was full of empty seats hours after the check-in deadline for the debate. Two and a half hours after checkin, 61 of the 354 press seats remained undisturbed.

“They’ve managed to bring apathy to Las Vegas,” a reporter from a Washington, DC-based news outlet told DailyMail.com. “Who’d have thunk it?”

Other reporters also revealed that they had been offered more seats in the press room than the reporters they brought to the event. However, they refused to give their names due to fears about angering CNN, and the rest of the mainstream media.

“We don’t want to tick off CNN, to be honest,” one reporter said quietly. “It’s not their fault the energy is so low.”

Both the Republican debates so far have generated 23 and 24 million viewers respectively, and even CNN has conceded that their expectations for this debate is far lower. If you were lucky enough to miss the debate last night, you weren’t missing much! It was just the kind of snooze-fest we were expecting.
