The Supreme Court is about to give Obama some news that may finally destroy what little pride he has left.

According to Daily Caller, the Supreme Court is likely preparing to issue a rebuke on the environmental regulations Obama inflicted on America’s energy sector. This comes after the Supreme Court heard arguments this week about encroachment on state’s rights to regulate the retail energy market.

This case challenges the attempts the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) have made to force utility companies to pay commercial consumers who reduce their electricity during peak times. While the regulations are designed to lower the stress on the power grid, the utility companies say these rules affect the retail market, which the FERC has no authority over.

In a desperate move, the Obama administration tried to argue that FERC “only applies to the wholesale market and demand-response providers,” but the judges weren’t buying this. After hearing the arguments on Wednesday, Justice John Roberts told U.S. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli that “FERC is directly affecting the retail price.”

This will come as yet another devastating blow to Obama, whose presidency has been exposed as the failure that it is in recent weeks.
