Over the last few months, President Barack Obama has upped his efforts to ban guns in the United States. While he had us all distracted with his quest to destroy the Second Amendment, he did something that can only be described as sketchy…

According to Infowars, Obama’s Department of Homeland Security bought over 62 million rounds of ammo that are generally used in AR-15 rifles just weeks after the ATF was forced to back down on a ban on M855 bullets.

Reports have revealed that the DHS has contracted a company to buy 12.6 million rounds of .223 Remington ammunition per year for a period of five years, a deal that would result in 62.5 million bullets. The purchase is meant “to achieve price savings over the current .223 Rem duty ammunition.” The government claims the bullets will be used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents all over the country for “training” purposes.

Weapons manufacturers have warned that the government may be trying to control the ammunition market by forcing manufacturers to hold back their stock from general sale.

“If they periodically do this in increments, they’re going to control how much ammo is available on the commercial market,” a weapons manufacturer told Michael Savage.

“The extraordinary level of ammunition purchases made by Homeland Security seems to have, in states such as my own, created an extreme shortage of ammunition to the point where many gun owners are unable to purchase any,” Californian Congressman Doug LaMalfa wrote in a letter signed by 14 of his peers to the DHS.

Clearly, Obama has something up his sleeve…What do you think is going on here? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
