This week, the world was stunned when Hollywood A-lister Charlie Sheen revealed that he is HIV- positive.

Though he has been flooded with lawsuits from former sex partners, things are now looking up for Sheen for the first time in years. According to Daily Mail, the actor has been “buried with offers” to write a tell-all memoir from publishers who want him to tell his story.

This comes days after Sheen admitted that he is HIV- positive in order to stop his former sexual partners from extorting him.

“I have to put a stop to this barrage of attacks of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me that are threatening the health of so many others,” Sheen told the Today Show.

The actor went on to say that though he does not know how he contracted the virus, he caught it early and has been treating it with a powerful drug regime.

“‘It started with what I thought was a series of crushing headaches,” he said of the symptoms. “I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over.”

Dr. Robert Huizenga, Sheen’s physician, confirmed that while the actor has HIV, he “does not have AIDs.”
