Liberals are now calling for the reality show Duck Dynasty to be cancelled after stars Willie and Korie Robertson admitted that they sometimes spank their children.

According to Christian Today, the parents of Rebecca Lo, John Luke, Sadie, Bella, and Willie told reporters that each of their children is different and requires their own form of discipline.

“Some of our kids are one way, some of them were hard-headed, some of them were not. Some of them were super sensitive, so you have to take all of that into effect,” Willie told ET Online. “I could look at Sadie one way, and she would start cryin’—like that!—it wasn’t a spanking or anything like that, she was so sensitive. And John Luke was very hard-headed, and his brother, Will, was very hard-headed.”

There’s nothing that Willie and Korie hate more than lying and disrespect, so when their children committed these sins, a spanking was sometimes in order.

“There was a handful of spankings,” Willie admitted. “I mean, we certainly use that as an option. Not very much—we try to talk. Sometimes you gotta do a little swat, you know.”

Willie went on to specifically mention disciplining John Luke when he was a child.

I said, ‘Do not touch’ whatever I told him not to touch,” Willie recalled. “So he was fake touching, and I popped them fingers. He looked at me and he was thinking, ‘I didn’t touch it!’ I was like, ‘You don’t even act like you’re gonna touch it! We’re not playin’ games.'”

Korie concluded that while it’s normal for parents to feel insecure about disciplining their children, “kids need to see a strong role model. They need to see somebody who’s confident and knows what’s up.”

It’s ridiculous that liberals are up in arms about parents spanking their children. Drop your pitchforks, liberals, and worry about raising your own kids!
