Los Angeles is living in fear today as a crazed gunman is currently on the loose after opening fire in a luxury hotel over the weekend.
Chilling surveillance footage shows the smiling gunman in the elevator of the high-end Standard Hotel moments before he shot four hotel guests, killing 21-year-old Thomas Johnson. According to Daily Mail, the gunman has since eluded police, and authorities have released the footage in a desperate attempt to find him.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s who has a mustache and cornrows, and he was wearing a black trench coat on Saturday night. The shooting is believed to have stemmed from a fight that broke out when a group of people couldn’t get into a party on the hotel’s 12th floor at 2:20am.
Neighbors later told reporters they heard five or six gunshots get fired.
“It sounded like heavy machinery falling,” one man recounted.
