Joey Feek got welcome news that brought her to tears. The country star and mom, who is receiving hospice care, was informed by her husband Joey that their song, “If I Needed You” was nominated for a Grammy.

This is incredible news as the couple just released the song recently in a music video they made to showcase the birth of their daughter in 2014. You can watch the video below. The song hasn’t gotten airplay. It was simply a way to celebrate their family, yet it has immediately garnished a huge accolade.

Rory wrote about it on the couple’s Facebook page:

…woke my bride up this morning with a baby in my arms and the news that our version of “If I Needed You” was nominated for a Grammy.

As her excitement and tears flowed into mine. She said, “how can that be? ”
….the song received no radio airplay… no press… no critical acclaim… and the only music video we made for it was to celebrate the day our little Indiana was born.
God is so good.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The couple has been an inspiration to millions as they live their faith during this tragedy. They realize the time we spend on earth is determined by God, but we determine the quality of that time.
