Patriotic American Floyd Briggs was hanging out in his Chickasha, Oklahoma neighborhood when he suddenly saw a man on a motorcycle speed down the street. Realizing this crazy biker could easily hurt someone, Briggs realized he needed to do something ASAP.

According to Conservative Tribune, police had been pursuing the motorcyclist, Michael Coppedge, for several miles as he sped all over the streets of Chickasha. Briggs didn’t know any of that, however, he only knew the driver had to be stopped.

“I said ‘I gotta stop this guy before he hurts a little kid,’” Briggs recalled. “I ain’t no football player, either.”

Briggs stood in the middle of the road and Coppedge swerved to miss him, landing on his back. Then he ran…

“He got up, run around that fence right there, and I just went after him,” Briggs said. “I was running out of steam very quick. I’m not very aerodynamic.”

Luckily, Briggs had enough gas in his tank to chase Coppedge right to the Chickasha Police, who were waiting to arrest him. He was charged with eluding a police officer and leaving the scene of an accident that involves damage. Coppedge claims he only ran because he doesn’t have a license.

We applaud Briggs for saving his neighborhood from this reckless driver! We need more Americans like him.
