Diet can be a really challenging, especially when you are giving up some of your favorite things to meet your goal. But, REJOICE for there is good news!

Drinking wine before bedtime can actually help you achieve your weight loss dreams. 47 year old Linda Monk saw a six pound weight reduction in just three weeks after she began drinking a glass or two of wine.

Monk reports that the wine helped reduce her cravings for snacks and sweets. Instead of a dessert, she substituted wine. It’s easy to see that this swap is a win.


Wine doesn’t have any fat. A glass of red wine is about 135 calories while white wine is 120 calories. Compare that to Breyer’s mint chocolate chip ice cream, which typically has 16 grams of fat and 300 calories, and the math adds up. Less calories and no fat will result in a smaller number on the scale.

Obviously, as with anything, moderation is the key. A glass of wine can not only can help your cravings, but it can help you relax.
