Saturday Night Live alum David Spade is likely going to feel the consequences of challenging the favorite idol of Hollywood elite, selfie-taker Barack Obama.

Spade took exception to President Obama’s appearance in the reality show “Running Wild” as the world is facing so many challenges. He mocked the Pen-And-Phone-In-Chief in a recent tweet.

Why is Obama on Bear Grills trying to survive in the tundra? Isnt the idea to keep the prez alive? And why is he on a reality show?Wtf ?

TMZ had to ask Spade about daring to challenge Obama. And he doubled down on his original comment.

“I criticized Obama because I thought, you know, a President should have a little more dignity.

I mean, I realize that Woodrow Wilson went on “Dancing With the Stars” once, but presidents going on reality shows, just seems weird to me.

Michelle Obama is on “Ellen” more than I am. What first Lady…I mean, it’s just a new world. I’m not used to…it just seems a bit thirsty to me, that’s all.

I think they’re kind of plotting…after the White House. Like he’s on GQ? Leave that to Bradley Cooper.

You’re the President. You’re above all of us, above stars. And you want to get into the mix, like you want to present at the MTV awards, it’s like, ‘all right, guy.’”

Certainly there will be consequences to mocking Obama, who is seen as untouchable by Hollywood.

How do you think this will affect Spade’s career? Please join the discussion.
