Angela Ramey was at Bethel Academy to help pack 41,000 meals for the hungry. The Christian school in Minnesota decided to thank volunteers by having a contest for free tuition. But, it wasn’t a small task. To get the prize, someone would have to make a half court shot.

Ramey’s daughter Grace encouraged her while she was preparing. The mom said a prayer and let the ball fly granny style. She didn’t make the first attempt. Then, Grace shot the second ball without any success. Finally, Angela said a prayer and let the ball fly.

She made the basket in quite an unusual fashion. But, she made the basket! Angela said this was her husband’s Christmas present as the mother and daughter celebrated on the gym floor.

What have you achieved with some inspiration and prayer? Please join the discussion.
