Today, congress will issue their final approval on a bill that would repeal Obamacare and strip money from Planned Parenthood completely. Obviously, each of these decisions will come as major blows to Barack Obama.

Georgia Rep. Barry Loudermilk has promised that the bill will be on the president’s desk by the end of the week.

“Tomorrow, the House will make the final vote of the process – sending both measures to the President’s desk by the end of this week,” Loudermilk wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday, according to Western Journalism.

Loudermilk went on to say that Republicans have been planning this for months, and that they’ve held back on other issues so that they could focus on these two.

“In the fall, we started a process that gives us one shot to bypass the senate filibuster rule, our best chance to pass conservative legislation. The two issues House Republicans chose to include in this one-time opportunity was to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood,” he posted.

Other House Republicans have expressed hopes that this bill will show their voters that forcing a Republican-majority congress was a good idea.

“We were sent to Congress to fight for the American people,” Missouri GOP Rep. Vicky Hartzler said. “They do not want their healthcare dictated to them by Washington. And they don’t want their tax dollars going to abortion providers. …If the president didn’t hear the people’s voices earlier, hopefully, he will through this bill.”

Though Obama is expected to veto this measure, congressional Republicans say they have enough votes to override this veto. The veto override is set to take place on January 22, which will come as an extra slap in the face for Democrats, considering this date is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
