A former History Channel reality TV star has been charged with murder after hunters found the body of a man dumped in the woods of rural Alabama.

According to Daily Mail, Matthew Clate McDaniel once starred on the reality TV show Bamazon, which aired in 2012 and profiled redneck gold miners. The 33 year-old was arrested on Monday for the murder of 40 year-old Norman Deon Crayton, who was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.

McDaniel starred on the reality show as a heavy machine operator who traveled to Guyana, South America with several other unemployed Alabama construction workers as they came together to go on a quest for gold. Clearly, his life has taken a major turn for the worse since then.
