Tyler Farr has become a country music sensation over the last few years, but his latest move has left his devastated fans praying for him.

According to Fox News, Farr has cancelled his upcoming shows to rest his voice after having surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal chords. He made the announcement on Wednesday in a statement released by his label Columbia Nashville, who said he was given the diagnosis after getting a severe case of bronchitis at the end of last year.

After his surgery, doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Clinic urged him to rest his vocal cords and then undergo aggressive therapy.

Farr added in a statement of his own that he hates canceling shows, but that he wants to let his body heal so that he can continue performing for his fans. Please keep Farr in your thoughts and prayers as he tries to make a full recovery!
