The gathering of evidence at the hideout where Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was hiding has turned up a .50 caliber sniper rifle. While this in itself may not seem like much of a bombshell, it’s how El Chapo obtained the rifle that has everyone talking.

According to Young Conservatives, the rifle was acquired via the Obama administration’s gun smuggling operation, Fast and Furious. In fact, the .50 caliber sniper rifle was one of two weapons in El Chapo’s possession that could be traced back to the Obama administration.

During operation Fast and Furious, approximately 2,000 guns were knowingly sold to straw purchasers. They were then smuggled across the border, and were supposed to be traced to lead US authorities to cartel members. However, the ATF and DOJ lost track of most of the weapons, and 1,400 of them are still unaccounted for to this day.

This incident at El Chapo’s hideout highlights one of the most humiliating moments of Obama’s presidency. The White House was trying to cover this one up, but it didn’t work out too well for them!
