Donald Trump continued his feud with Megyn Kelly by announcing he will not be participating in the FOX News GOP Debate in Iowa. There have been insults thrown between Trump’s campaign and Fox News since Kelly asked a question at the first debate that Trump felt was unfair.
Trump has announced what he will be doing during the debate. He’s not going to be watching, that’s for sure. Instead, Trump will be hosting an event at Drake University to raise money for veterans, and wounded warriors in particular, “who have been treated so horribly by our all-talk, no-action politicians.”
But some veterans groups are distancing themselves from Trump’s event claiming they don’t want Trump using veterans in political ploys. Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America founder Paul Rieckhoff issued this rejection in a tweet.
If offered, @IAVA will decline donations from Trump's event. We need strong policies from candidates, not to be used for political stunts.

The Wounded Warrior Project stated that it was not aware of the real estate mogul raising money on its behalf. And VoteVets.org said they didn’t want Trump to use their groups to hide from Megyn Kelly.
Today, Trump discussed skipping the debate to a large crowd in South Carolina to cheers. His supporters are applauding his decision.
