Olaf is a one-year-old Mastiff who was abandoned by his family when he was bitten by a snake. His spirits were down as he was not only homeless, but also in the hospital recovering from surgery. Then a 6-week old puppy named Mariah showed up.

Mariah also is a rescue dog who was recovering at the same hospital. She was left for dead on Christmas Eve when her rescuers found her. The two bonded and Olaf’s enthusiasm for life returned.

Both dogs are available for adoption at Second Chance Rescue in New York City. It is hoped the two can be adopted together since they are bonded.
