During Saturday’s GOP presidential debate, conservatives were stunned when Dr. Ben Carson made a very awkward entrance onstage. Now, he’s blaming the poor sound backstage for his strange entrance.

“ABC News has admitted there were sound issues,” Carson said after the debate, according to Politico. “We couldn’t hear very well backstage, so I was just waiting to hear my name.”

“They said go out when you hear your name and I didn’t hear my name,” Carson added, according to The Hill.
