Last Thursday, Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton made a quick trip to New York to attend a fundraiser. There, she said six words that may cost her the presidential race.

Hillary was in New York attending a breakfast fundraiser at the headquarters of RPW Group, a wealthy real estate development company based in Westchester County, New York’s ritziest suburb. The event was closed to the media, and attendees had to pay anywhere from $250 to the maximum $2,700 campaign donation limit to get in.

Unfortunately for Hillary, however, someone caught her speech on their phone. According to Western Journalism, Hillary was caught telling the crowd that she was in New York to, “take a little breather from Iowa.”

“I just can’t tell you how it feels to be in a room with so many people I do know and have worked with and admired and appreciate to be here in Westchester County having a chance to take a little breather from Iowa,” Hillary said.

This “break from Iowa” lasted from Wednesday to Thursday, and also included a stop at a fundraiser in Philadelphia at the firm of Franklin Square Capital Partners.

Bernie Sanders was quick to slam Hillary for ditching Iowa voters just to attend some ritzy fundraisers. Iowa voters are a very fickle bunch, and what Hillary just said about them may cost her the crucial state. We can only hope this happens!
