Chris Marquez was having a burger at McDonald’s when 5 teens approached him and asked his thoughts on Black Lives Matter. The decorated Marine just wanted to be left alone, but they didn’t accept that.

“I felt threatened and thought they were trying to intimidate me, so I figured I’m just going to keep to my food, eat my food, and hopefully they’ll leave me alone. And because I wasn’t responding back to them, they were calling me a racist,” Marquez said.

And his silence cost him. The five thugs hit him over the head when he left the restaurant. Marquez was knocked unconscious. The Black Lives Matter activists then stole the veteran’s wallet. They used his credit cards at Walmart, Five Guys and a liquor store.

A cab driver took the Marine home when he woke up. Neighbors helped him call police. Police then transported him to the hospital where he received treatment for a concussion and eye contusion.

The pain is still persisting. “My head really hurts. I get this sharp pain, straight down my face, and I haven’t really slept too well at all since it happened. I just want them to get caught, especially if they’re doing this to other people,” Marquez said.

Marquez was awarded a Bronze Star for valor in Iraq. A photo of him rescuing four Marines from a building was the inspiration for the No Man Left Behind sculpture at two Marine bases.

This criminal attack was stunning considering Marquez isn’t racist. “When I was in the Marine Corps, I served with people from many different backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and races,” Marquez told The DCNF. “Like all Marines, I fought for the freedom of all Americans and not just one particular group.”

This man put his life on the line for our country and freedoms and he was attacked for keeping quiet while eating his food. He was attacked by people supporting a movement that President Obama speaks about glowingly.

A different Marine has spoken out against Black Lives Matter. His video went viral and he spoke about the racism of the Black Lives Matter movement with Megyn Kelly. You can see that video below.
