We are right in the middle of cold and flu season, so it’s an important time to check and see what household items need to be replaced. I’m not talking about kleenex or cough syrup. I’m talking about your toothbrush!

Toothbrushes can be breeding grounds for germs. They need to be replaced every three months minimum for this reason. And if you share a bathroom with someone else, you might want to swap out your toothbrush more frequently.

But, toothbrushes aren’t the only things that need to be replaced frequently. Even when things don’t look disgusting, they can harbor germs that you can’t see. Things like kitchen sponges and contact cases need to be tossed every three months.
