A 90 year old Michigan woman is a good teacher on living life to its fullest. In July, two days after Norma’s husband of 67 years suddenly died, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She was suddenly alone and sick.

But, Norma made a bold decision. She had decided that she was going to skip the surgery and chemo that would have been debilitating. She told her doctor, “I’m 90-years-old, I’m hitting the road.” Norma was going to go on a trip of a lifetime and see things she always wanted to. Her doctor said that was a fantastic idea and exactly what he would want to do.

She left her assisted living facility and took off in a motor home with her son and daughter-in-law. A Facebook page called Driving Miss Norma is detailing her adventures.
