During Super Tuesday this week, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump built what many are calling an insurmountable lead. This sent fear down the spines of members of the Republican establishment, as they know they will never be able to control the Donald if he takes office.

Now, the GOP establishment is desperately trying to launch a plan to take Trump down.

“He is not Superman” who can only be destroyed “by kryptonite,” Paul Singer, a billionaire who is one of the GOP’s leading bundlers, told fellow donors on a conference call this week.

According to CNN, Singer and his fellow donors believe the “real” Donald Trump hasn’t been unmasked to the American public, and that he is actually a liberal posing as a conservative to get elected. The Republican donors have watched in horror as Trump annihilated his competition, most recently their candidate of choice Marco Rubio.

“Everybody should have been challenging Trump from the start. We should have done more,” one Bush adviser said. “He was able to grow this support and the armor that comes with it before anyone started punching him. There was a missed opportunity to run a sustained campaign against him from the start.”

“I really believe that if Donald Trump wasn’t in this race, Marco Rubio would be the nominee today,” said Idaho Senator Jim Risch. “This is the most unusual set of circumstances I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Now, various last-ditch efforts have been set in motion to stop Trump. Earlier today, former House Speaker John Boehner endorsed current House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) for the GOP presidential nomination if the race goes to a brokered convention.

“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” Boehner said, according to Breitbart. “They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I’m for none of the above. I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.”

There have also been rumors that various Republican donors are begging former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice to enter the race as an Independent, because she is the only person who polls high enough to beat Trump and Hillary Clinton in a threeway race.

The GOP establishment can try whatever they want, but The Donald is clearly unstoppable at this point. SHARE this story if you’re voting Trump in 2016!
