Hulk Hogan got some vindication. The wrestler sued left-wing gossip website Gawker after it published a video of Hogan having sex with his best friend’s wife. A jury awarded Hulk $115 million in damages.

Hogan had claimed that Gawker invaded his privacy by showing the video of him and Bubba the Love Sponge’s wife. Hogan and the woman weren’t even aware of the video tape being made. The large award may signal the end to Gawker as it would struggle to survive amidst the financial burden it now has.

Some are stating this was a First Amendment issue and that is no different than exposing politicians who engage in this type of behavior. But, the wrestler’s lawyers pointed out that Hulk Hogan is a character while Terry Bollea is the man who plays that character and Bollea deserves privacy.

What do you think? Should that video have been fair game? Please share your thoughts.
