Hollywood legend George Kennedy, who worked in Hollywood for decades and won an Oscar for his work in Cool Hand Luke, passed away on Sunday. He was 91 years-old.

According to American News, Kennedy began his career in television, taking roles in Maverick, Gunsmoke, and The Legend of Jesse James. He then successfully made the transition to films, and won his Oscar in 1967.

Kennedy’s grandson Cody Schenkel took to social media to honor his grandfather, and reveal that his grandmother passed away last September. Kennedy must have missed his wife dearly, and now they are together in Heaven.

Rest in peace, George!
