Contrary to popular myth, there are poor white people in the United States. Many of them. All one has to do is take a short trip to anywhere in Appalachia and you’ll see extreme poverty and families living in terrible conditions.

Many of these poor areas are in coal mining country; specifically, West Virginia, and they are hurting. Why?

Because President Obama bragged he was going to “bankrupt” the coal industry. He’s certainly been on his way and with no concern whatsoever of the lives impacted.

Watch the video to see a heartbreaking story told by Levi Holstein, a young man who lives in a community where President Obama’s policies shut down the coal industry.

What do you think about this? Should the President be more aware of what he’s doing or do you think he is aware and just doesn’t care at all?
