Bill Clinton is a lot of things. One thing people will say he is not, is a politician who doesn’t think carefully about he says.

He’s calculated and when he says something, there is a reason for it.

During a press gaggle, the former President was asked about what or who has been responsible for the rise of both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

Look at what he says:

“The country is doing better than everybody else in the world, but 80% of the country has not had a pay raise since the crash. Therefore there is great fear that we can’t return to broad-based prosperity and that has lit a lot of the fires that have helped Mr. Trump on the right and Sen. Sanders on the left.”

Oof. That’s gotta hurt. One has to wonder if he will backtrack on those comments or how the Obama inner circle will react.

Do you think what he said is fair? Has Obama and the media been overstating the performance of the economy? Let us know!
