A married American couple who traveled to Syria to join the Islamic State got a greeting from home in the form of a bomb.

Abu Issa Al-Amriki and Umm Issa Al-Amrikiah were killed in a targeted airstrike in late April according to Middle East Media Research Institute’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor. The terrorists use those last names to designate that they are Americans.

Another ISIS terrorist wrote of the early demise of these traitors by saying they “were hit in their house by the airstrikes and they both attained shahadah [martyrdom].”

The wife’s goal was to recruit women to join the Islamic State. She posted pictures of herself with suicide belts on social media and would only engage in conversations with other women. The US government said last year that about 250 Americans have attempted to joint Islamic State in Syria, with approximately 20 percent of them women.

At this time, it’s unclear who carried out the drone strike.
