America was a completely different place in the 1940s. Patriotism was standard. We even know the press was on our side in World War II. The country came together – and we won.

Part of that effort was entertainment. Talented performers lightened the mood, made Americans smile, and took their minds off the Depression and the war.

Over seven decades later, The Andrews Sisters are one of the most recognizable groups of that era. It’s hard not to shake your hips when “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” is played. Watch the video below and see if it makes you dance.
