Parents will often say, “No parent should ever have to bury a child.” Loretta Lynn had the misfortune of living that when her son, Jack died in a tragic drowning accident in 1984. He was only 34 years old. Now, tragedy has struck again for country singing icon.
Her eldest grandson Jeffrey Lynn, died suddenly at the age of 47. The more heartbreaking news? Jeffrey was Jack’s son. Worse yet, Jeffrey had three kids of his own.
She left a message on Facebook:
Loretta Mourns the Loss of Grandson.
American music icon, Loretta Lynn is mourning the passing of her eldest grandson, Jeffrey Allen Lynn who died unexpectedly on Monday. Jeffrey was 47 and lived and worked on Loretta Lynn’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Jeffrey was the eldest son of Jack Benny Lynn, Lynn’s second child and eldest son who tragically drowned in 1984. Jeffrey Allen Lynn is survived by three children, Jory, Katie and Cody.
Loretta Lynn was scheduled to perform this Friday, June 10 in Miami, Oklahoma and Saturday, June 11 in Hinton, Oklahoma, however those shows will be postponed to July 8 and November 12 so Loretta can be with her family.
Have to give her a lot of credit for going on. Loretta Lynn is 84 years old and is still touring and performing when most people are content to retire quietly and live out their remaining years.
She also still has a lot of sass causing liberals to lose their minds when she said she supported Donald Trump’s bid for the Presidency.
Share this with your friends and family to keep Loretta Lynn and her family in your prayers. I know she is in mine.
