Aaron Ybarra killed one student and injured two others when he went to Seattle Pacific University on June 5, 2014.

Newly released video footage shows student-safety monitor Jon Meis bravely going after Ybarra with only pepper spray. But he used it effectively to disarm Ybarra and stop him from committing any more carnage.

It takes an awful lot of bravery to do what Meis did. The video is pretty dramatic. Take a look:

Wow. That second time you see Meis come back after he secured the gun? Ybarra was getting a hunting knife out. Meis still went after him and was able to hold Ybarra until a another man came over and kicked the knife away.

This should be a lesson to those who think people should not be allowed to carry on campus. Had Weis had a firearm, he may not have had to come back and risk his life a second time. Still, he is to be commended for his bravery.

Share this others and let them see what a hero John Meis is.
